Patriots Day is celebrated every year on 13 August in Manipur in memory of those Manipuri commanders who were hanged during the Anglo-Manipur War.

25 August (Monday) – Banks closed in Assam on the occasion of Srimanta Shankardev’s date.
27 August (Wednesday) – Banks in Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Belapur, Mumbai and Nagpur (Maharashtra), Bengaluru (Karnataka), Bhubaneswar (Odisha), Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Hyderabad (Telangana), Panaji (Goa) and Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh) will remain closed on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi and related festivals.
28 August (Thursday) – Holiday on the second day of Ganesh Chaturthi and Nuakhai festival in Odisha and Goa.
