DA Hike: Dearness allowance has been increased by two percent. Dearness allowance of employee pension holders and family pensioners has been increased. With which their salary will increase. In this regard, 4 separate orders have been issued by the Finance Department.
Dearness Allowance increased by two percent
Under the order issued, the dearness allowance of government employees working under the recommendation of the seventh pay commission has been increased by two percent. At present, they were being given the benefit of 53% dearness allowance but now after the order was issued, their dearness allowance has increased to 55%.
Effective from 1 January 2025
It will be implemented from January 1, 2025. In such a situation, the employees will also be paid the arrears amount of 5 months. A big relief has been given to the employees and pensioners by the Jammu and Kashmir government. Dearness allowance is to be paid with an additional installment of the arrears from January 2025 to May 2025.
Payment of cash installment amount in the month of June
The amount of this installment will be paid to them in cash in the month of June. The increased dearness allowance will be made available to them along with the salary of June. The cabinet’s decision of May 27 has been cited in the order issued by the Jammu and Kashmir Finance Department. Along with this, the dearness relief of government pensioners and family pensioners has also been increased by two percent.
Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief will be made available to employees and pensioners on their basic salary. With this, the government employees in Jammu and Kashmir who are taking advantage of the seventh pay scale, their salary is sure to increase by Rs 8000 to Rs 12000.
