ED Raid Jharkhand : Raids on 8 locations of close associates of former MLA Amba Prasad, raids from Ranchi to Hazaribagh

ED has raided the hideouts of close associates of former Congress MLA Amba Prasad in Jharkhand in a money laundering case. Search operation is going on at eight locations in Ranchi, Hazaribagh and Barkagaon.

Ranchi: Once again, the central investigation agency Enforcement Directorate (ED) took a big action in Jharkhand and conducted raids in various parts of the state on Friday. This action of ED is being carried out at the places related to the close associates of former Congress MLA Amba Prasad from Barkagaon assembly seat of Hazaribagh district. It is being told that this raid is being conducted under the investigation of the money laundering case related to RKTC transporting company.

ED teams have started a simultaneous search operation at a total of eight locations including Ranchi, Hazaribagh and Barkagaon. In particular, this action is being carried out at the residence of Amba Prasad’s close aide Sanjeet in Ranchi’s Kishanganj area, his personal assistants Sanjeev Sao, Manoj Dangi and Pancham Kumar’s hideouts in Barkagaon. According to sources, this action is being taken as part of the investigation of allegations related to illegal funding, illegal mining and transportation against all of them.

It is worth noting that even before this, on March 12, 2024, the ED had raided several places including the residence of Amba Prasad and his father, former Jharkhand minister Yogendra Sao. In that action too, many important documents and electronic devices were seized, on the basis of which the investigation was carried forward.

This time the raid is being conducted on the basis of the same inputs and evidence that came out in the earlier investigation. ED teams are conducting a thorough investigation of documents related to financial transactions, land and mining. No political reaction has come out in the case yet, but there is a stir in the Congress camp. This action of ED can once again bring an earthquake in the politics of the state, especially when political instability already prevails in the state.
