Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 21st installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme today (November 19), according to an official statement. The statement stated that under the scheme, an amount of ₹1,332.40 crore will be transferred to 66.62 lakh farmers in the state. According to the statement, an amount of ₹2,000 per farmer will be transferred to their bank accounts.

Since the inception of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, 20 installments have been released. Under this scheme, eligible farmers are provided with an amount of ₹6,000 annually in three equal installments. The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, launched on February 24, 2019, is a central government scheme.

To date, more than ₹3.70 lakh crore has been disbursed to over 110 million farmer families across the country through 20 installments. This funding has helped farmers purchase agricultural inputs, in addition to meeting other expenses such as education, medical care, and marriage. The scheme is being extended to farmers whose land details are registered on the PM-KISAN portal and whose bank accounts are linked to Aadhaar.
