Jharkhand Home Guard Jawan News: The state government has given good news to the Home Guard jawans in Jharkhand. The Jharkhand government will now also give the benefits of PF and retirement fund to the jawans. This will benefit 22 thousand home guards.
There is a very good news from the state government for the Home Guard jawans in Jharkhand. Till now they were deprived of some essential facilities like PF and retirement fund, but now all these things will be provided to them. Actually, now on the lines of Bihar, all the home guards of Jharkhand will now get the benefit of PF and retirement.
Let us tell you that a few years ago in 2021, Jharkhand Home Guard Kalyan Sangh had also agitated about this, after which talks were held with the state government and consensus was reached. Now the Home Guard jawans are getting the fruits of this movement. About 22 thousand male and female home guards of the state will get benefit from this.
Amount will be received together on retirement
Now, Home Guard jawans will be given a sum of Rs. 1.5 lakhs at once after retirement at the age of 60 years. Also, PF will be deducted from time to time. Till now, the jawans were deprived of all these facilities, but after the approval of the state government, the DIG of Home Guard Corps cum Fire Department has written to the Home Jail and Disaster Management Department and has asked all the home guards to start giving its benefits.
On the lines of Bihar, now the benefit will be available in Jharkhand
It has been mentioned in this letter that there is no mention of giving provident fund and retirement benefits to the home guards in the Jharkhand Home Guard (Volunteer) Rules. The Bihar government had issued a resolution regarding giving the said benefits in 2021 itself. On the lines of the state of Bihar, a resolution order can be issued to give the benefit of Employees Provident Fund Scheme and retirement to the enrolled, re-enrolled home guards in the state of Jharkhand as well.
There was a movement in 2021
Jharkhand Home Guard Kalyan Sangh had agitated in 2021 regarding this, after which talks were held with the state government and consensus was reached. The rules of these states were sought, in which there were rules regarding the facilities given to the Home Guards in some states.
The Home Guard Corps cum Fire Department had sought rules regarding the retirement benefits and provident fund given to the Home Guards from Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Chandigarh, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Goa, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Uttarakhand.
