Oil marketing companies have reduced the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder by Rs 33.50, which has come into effect from today i.e. August 1. However, no change has been made for domestic consumers. The price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder remains the same as before at Rs 853 in Delhi. That is, the general public has not got any relief on the gas front at the moment.

The price of commercial (19 kg) gas cylinder has seen continuous reductions in recent months. On August 1, 2025, it was reduced by Rs 33.50, while earlier on July 1 and June 1, 2025, it was reduced by Rs 58.50 and Rs 24 respectively. The price of commercial cylinder has been reduced several times since January, giving some relief to small businessmen and restaurant owners.
The rates of domestic cylinders are not decreasing
At the same time, the last major reduction in the price of domestic (14.2 kg) gas cylinders was in August 2023, when the price of the cylinder in Delhi was reduced from Rs 903 to Rs 703. After this, in April 2025, the price of domestic cylinders became Rs 853, but since then the rates of domestic gas have remained stable and there has been no reduction in it. In this way, the price of gas cylinders for domestic use has remained stable for about one and a half years.
