In Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami honored four martyred police personnel from the state on the occasion of Police Memorial Day. He also presented insurance checks to their families. Paying tribute to the martyred soldiers on Police Memorial Day, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “Their sacrifices will always be remembered. This is an emotional tribute.” CM Dhami also noted that four police personnel have been martyred in the state in the past year, and they will always be remembered. The police play a crucial role in maintaining peace and security in the state. The Uttarakhand Police faces numerous challenges, including the Kanwar Yatra, disasters, VVIP security, drug abuse, cybersecurity, and traffic management, among others.

Police personnel would be awarded silver medals on the 25th anniversary of the state’s establishment. ₹100 crore would be allocated annually for residential housing, which would last for three years. Five barracks would be constructed for SDRF personnel.
