Deoghar Accident News: A major accident has happened in Deoghar, Jharkhand. Many pilgrims have died in a collision between a bus and a truck. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has confirmed the death of 18 people. There was mourning in the area after this accident.
Deoghar: A painful road accident has come to light during the ongoing Kanwar Yatra in Baba Baidyanath Dham in Jharkhand in the month of Shravan. A bus full of Kanwariyas and a truck collided near Jamunia Chowk on the Deoghar-Basukinath main road.
Major accident in Deoghar
According to the information, at least 18 Kanwariyas have died in this accident, while dozens of devotees have been injured. Some other reports mention the death toll as 9 and more than 30 injured. The death toll is expected to increase.

MP Nishikant Dubey tweeted that ’18 devotees have died due to a bus and truck accident during the Kanwar Yatra in the month of Shravan in Deoghar of my Lok Sabha. May Baba Baidyanath Ji give strength to their families to bear the grief.’

Fierce collision between bus and truck carrying Kanwariyas
As soon as the incident was reported, teams of local administration, police and ambulance immediately reached the spot. All the injured have been admitted to various hospitals and primary health centres in Deoghar, where they are undergoing treatment. Relief and rescue operations are underway by the district administration.
Kanwariyas were going to Deoghar to offer water
This accident happened when the devotees were moving towards Baba Baidyanath Dham with the chants of ‘Bol Bam’. This horrific collision has sent a wave of mourning in the area. Police are investigating the matter.
