FASTag Annual Pass: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has launched the FASTag Annual Pass of ₹3000 on August 15, 2025, which is designed to relieve private vehicle owners from the hassle of toll payment. This pass will be valid for one year or 200 toll trips, whichever is completed first. But to take advantage of this, it is most important to activate it correctly, let’s know the way.
Process to activate FASTag Annual Pass
First of all download the Rajmarg Yatra app or visit the NHAI website. This pass can be activated only through the Rajmarg Yatra mobile app (Android/iOS) or the official website of NHAI.
After that login with mobile number or vehicle registration number (VRN). Make sure your FASTag is active, correctly installed on the vehicle, linked to VRN and not blacklisted.
Fill vehicle and FASTag details Enter vehicle details and FASTag ID. Upload RC, owner’s identity and address proof, passport size photo if asked.
Now you have to pay Rs 3000. For this you have to use UPI, debit/credit card or net banking. Note that payment is not possible with FASTag wallet balance.
After some time you will get an activation message. Usually the pass gets activated within 2 hours, although it may take up to 24 hours.
This facility is especially for non-commercial vehicles like cars, jeeps and vans, and is aimed at reducing the time spent at toll plazas and making travel more seamless. But this facility can be availed only if you activate it correctly.
How many annual passes were made in 5 days?
In the last five days, tremendous enthusiasm has been seen across the country regarding the Fastag annual pass. More than 6.50 lakh people took this pass worth ₹ 3000, due to which a huge increase was also recorded in the movement of vehicles with Fastag at the toll plaza. According to the data, in these five days, about 10.50 lakh vehicles with Fastag have traveled on the toll.
