Good news for government teachers of Jharkhand, now they will not have to appear for the departmental Hindi noting exam.

The state government has exempted teachers from the Hindi noting exam. The Personnel Department clarified this in a letter to all Deputy Commissioners on Monday. The department, acknowledging the position of the All Jharkhand Primary Teachers’ Union, stated that government schools in the state are not required to take and pass the Hindi noting exam.

In the letter sent to Deputy Commissioners, the department stated that teachers do not need to write notes in the discharge of their duties, and therefore, they are not required to pass the exam.

The department also sent a copy of the Bihar government’s letter issued in 1987 to all Deputy Commissioners regarding this matter. Following this letter, the pay hike freeze imposed on teachers in Ranchi district for the past three months has now been lifted.

Meanwhile, All Jharkhand Primary Teachers’ Union’s state president Anoop Kumar Kesari, general secretary Ram Murti Thakur, spokesperson Naseem Ahmed, state treasurer Santosh Kumar, Ranchi district president Salim Sahay Tigga said that this letter from the Personnel Department validated the union’s earlier position, while teachers had to face unwanted problems for the last three months.
