Government Pension Scheme: If you are a beneficiary of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan), then there is good news for you. Now you can also get the benefit of another government scheme, PM Kisan Mandhan Pension Scheme. Meaning, apart from three installments of 2,000 each for the crop, there is an opportunity to get pension every month in old age and a fixed income of up to Rs 42,000 annually. The good thing is that for this you will not have to face any separate document or hassle.
How will you get pension?
Farmers associated with the name of PM Kisan Yojana have to register in PM Kisan Mandhan Pension Scheme (PM-KMY) between the ages of 18 to 40 years. In this, after the age of 60, you will get a pension of Rs 3,000 every month i.e. Rs 36,000 every year. No separate document is required for registration, the whole process is very simple.
How to register?
To register for the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Mandhan Pension Scheme, you have to go to your nearest Public Service Center (CSC). There you go with your Aadhar card, bank passbook, land papers and passport size photo. The CSC operator fills the online form on the basis of your documents and an auto-debit form is also filled, so that your monthly contribution amount is deducted directly from the bank account. If you are already a beneficiary of PM-Kisan Yojana, then the contribution can be deducted from the same amount, you do not have to pay separately. After registration, you get a unique pension ID number.
You do not have to pay even 1 rupee from your pocket
The most important thing here is that the monthly contribution of this pension scheme (55 to 200 rupees which is decided according to age) will also be deducted directly from the amount of Rs 6,000 of PM Kisan. Suppose if you chose the highest contribution of Rs 200 per month at the age of 40, then Rs 2,400 per year will be deducted from your amount of Rs 6,000 and the remaining Rs 3,600 will be added to your account.
The 20th installment of PM Kisan Yojana has come this month
PM Narendra Modi transferred the 20th installment of PM Kisan to the accounts of 9.7 crore farmers across the country on 2 August 2025. If you are also a beneficiary of PM Kisan and have not received the installment, then go to pmkisan.gov.in and check your name in the list. If the name is not there, update the necessary information, so that the benefits of both the schemes can be availed on time in future.
