Jharkhand Weather: Jharkhand will again face troubles from the sky today. The rain on Thursday took the lives of 8 people and the Meteorological Department has once again issued a red alert for heavy rain in 10 districts on Friday. These include Ranchi, Khunti, Ramgarh, Koderma, Hazaribagh, Saraikela-Kharsawan, East and West Singhbhum, Latehar, Lohardaga. Orange alert has been issued for Giridih, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Chatra, Palamu, Garhwa, Gumla and Simdega. Yellow alert has been issued for Deoghar and Jamtara. According to the Meteorological Department, a low pressure area is prevailing over Jharkhand. Relief will be provided as the speed of rain will decrease after June 21.
Schools closed in many districts including Ranchi today
In view of the rain in Jharkhand for three days, the administration has decided to close schools in many districts on Friday as well. This step has been taken as a precaution especially in the districts declared by the Meteorological Department on red alert. These include Ranchi, Ramgarh, Ranchi, Khunti, West Singhbhum, Koderma, Hazaribagh and other districts. At the same time, classes up to class VIII will remain suspended in East Singhbhum and Saraikela-Kharsawan districts. Earlier, in view of the heavy rain warning issued by the Meteorological Department, classes in schools remained closed in eight districts including Ranchi, Khunti, Ramgarh on Thursday. The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted very heavy rain till 8:30 am on Friday.
