Only 750 shops have been audited so far
So far, out of the 1453 liquor shops in the state, only 750 shops have been audited. Even the shops whose audit has been completed are not selling liquor at the moment. After the process of handover-takeover of the shops is completed, instructions will be issued again regarding their operation. According to the information received, the districts have been instructed to complete the audit work of all the shops by next week. It is known that during the audit, the stock of liquor in the shops and the amount deposited after the sale is being verified.
Demand to implement new product policy in the state soon
State General Secretary of Jharkhand Liquor Traders Association Subodh Kumar Jaiswal said that due to the incomplete process of handover-takeover, liquor is not being supplied in many shops. The shops whose audit has been completed have been kept closed till further orders. On the other hand, the shops which are open also do not have liquor. He has demanded that the process of handover-takeover should be completed soon and the new product policy should be implemented soon in the state.
