According to the Meteorological Department, the very deep low pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal a few days ago is moving from Odisha to Chhattisgarh in the north-western direction and is now over Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh. Due to this, there will be heavy rain at some places in 10 districts of Bihar including border Santhal Pargana, Giridih, Hazaribagh, Dhanbad, Koderma, Chatra, Bokaro, Dhanbad.
Apart from this, there may be light rain once or twice at some places in the remaining parts including Ranchi. In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall of 185.0 mm was recorded in Garhwa in the state. 45.0 mm rainfall was recorded in Ramgarh and 8.4 mm rainfall was recorded in Ranchi.
