Jharkhand News! Kanwariyas’ vehicle collided with an electric pole in Jharkhand, 5 died due to electric shock, many injured

In Jharkhand’s Latehar, five devotees returning from Devghar after worshipping Baba Baidyanath, including two minors, died. Actually, while returning, the vehicle of the devotees collided with an electric pole, after which five devotees died due to electric shock after coming in contact with the high tension wire.

Five Kanwariyas including two minors died in a tragic accident in Latehar, Jharkhand. The vehicle of the Kanwariyas came in contact with a high tension wire due to which they died due to electric shock. Five other Kanwariyas were also injured in this accident who have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

Actually this accident happened when a vehicle full of Kanwariyas collided with an electric pole. After this, their vehicle came in contact with the high tension wire passing above due to which everyone got electric shock.

The accident happened at three in the morning

According to the news agency, this incident happened on Thursday morning at around 3 o’clock. All the Kanwariyas were returning to their homes after visiting Baba Baidyanath temple in a car, during this time their vehicle collided with an electric pole in Tam-Tam Tola of Balumath police station area.

Giving information about this accident, Balumath Sub-Divisional Police Officer Ashutosh Kumar Satyam said, ‘A high tension overhead wire fell on the vehicle of the Kanwariyas. In this accident, five Kanwar pilgrims including two minors died due to electric shock.

While five other Kanwariyas were injured. According to the police, four of the five dead have been identified as Rangeeli Kumari (12 years), Anjali Kumari (15 years), Dilip Oraon (age-29 years) and Savita Devi (30 years).

CM Soren expressed grief over the accident

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren also expressed condolences over the accident. He wrote on the social media platform X, ‘Deeply saddened by the death of five Kanwariyas in an accident in Balumath, Latehar. May God give peace to the departed souls and give strength to the bereaved family members to bear this difficult time. He said that proper treatment of the injured Kanwariyas is being arranged.
