LPG Price Hiked: Commercial cylinders give a shock of inflation, but air fares are expected to be cheaper

The price of 19KG commercial cylinder was increased from the first of October. After the new change, the price of cylinder in Delhi has now increased from Rs 1691.50 to Rs 1740 per cylinder. However, government oil companies have given a big relief to aviation companies by reducing the price of aviation fuel. This has increased the hope of air fare becoming cheaper during the festive season.

There has been a shock of inflation just before the start of the festive season. Government oil marketing companies have increased the prices of commercial LPG cylinders from today i.e. October 1. The new rates have also come into effect from today. Let us know how much the price of commercial LPG cylinder has increased and whether there has been any change in the prices of domestic cylinders.

Now how much will you get a commercial cylinder for?

Government oil marketing companies have increased the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder by Rs 48.5. Now the price of 19 kg cylinder in the national capital Delhi is Rs 1,740. At the same time, commercial LPG cylinder will be available in Kolkata for Rs 1,850, in Mumbai for Rs 1,692 and in Chennai for Rs 1,903. Oil companies had also increased the price of commercial LPG cylinder in August. Then it was only Rs 6.5 per cylinder.

Change in the price of domestic cylinder too?

However, the relief is that only commercial cylinders have been made expensive. There has been no change in the price of domestic LPG cylinders. This means that cooking in your kitchen will not be expensive at the moment. But, due to the increase in the price of commercial cylinders, eating outside may become a bit expensive.

Airlines get relief from cheap fuel

Government oil companies have given a big relief to aviation companies by reducing the price of aviation fuel. They have reduced the price of ATF (Aviation turbine fuel) by Rs 5,883 per kilolitre (1000 litres). This change has also come into effect from today. Last month also ATF prices were reduced by Rs 4,495.48 per kilolitre. Now it remains to be seen whether aviation companies pass on this benefit to passengers by reducing air fares or not.
